Advices
Some advices for faster riding given by the authors:
-
On the plane and down the hill it's using the hardest gearings the most effective. Only up the hill it's better to use lighter gearings.
-
Before you turn round, take a short cut. If you pedal, bicycle doesn't turn round as fast as if you don't pedal. When you see you don't turn enough, try to slack up.
-
When you miss the bonus on the track, the best idea is try to turn round and pick up the bonus. Before turnig round, slack up (under 4 km/h) and don't pedal. If speed goes under 1 km/h, shortly pedal.
-
We recommend you to minimalize programs like ICQ, qip, Miranda and other IM programs, otherwise you won't have enough fps (frames per second).
-
If you don't have still enough frames per second, you can try to decrease number of objects (called "sprites") in the Baltie's world. Open .\MTB-Data\Objects\, choose track (according to file .\MTB-Data\Terrains.txt) and open its file. You can delete lines beginning with "MTB-Tree.sgpm" and "MTB-Stone.sgpm" (all the trees and stones, most of them are in tracks only for beauty).
